The daughter is Harvey Welker a Native American father, and Julie Welker an African-American mother. The mother of the family is an agent while her father is a civil engineer. Walker has completed her studies at Germantown Friends School. Germantown Friends School (Germantown Area) in Philadelphia where she graduated in 1994. After that, she went to Harvard College where she earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998. Welker, who is married to John Hughes of Merck Philadelphia in Philadelphia is mother to two.
