Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter of Peter Silk - an academic - and Ilkay Silk, a gifted actor as well as a writer, director, and producer. Her father is from Britain, while her mother is the "Turkish ex-pat from Cyprus who is now living in England." Anna's earliest memories include attending play rehearsals and watching her mother's her job. Early on, Anna appeared on several commercials on television.
