Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican-American actress. Her first role was in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film. She then appeared in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). Sigman was a star in Narcos (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017) and the second season of both shows. Sigman was the daughter of a Mexican mother, and an American father, Lee Sigman (a New York Yankees Scout from Kansas), who were both born in Ciudad Obregon. Through her father Sigman, she is an U.S. citizen. Her brother and the baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman, was previously engaged to actress Barbara Mori Sigman began her career on Mexican TV before making her film debut in Rio de Oro. In 2011 she portrayed the lead part in the film Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime drama film, Miss Bala. [6] The film was picked for consideration as the Mexican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards, however it didn't make the final cut. In recognition of her performance in the film, Sigman was nominated in 2011 for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award. She was in the Canadian documentary, Flight of the Butterflies the next year. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer, which was a Norwegian thriller.
